Because of this, your dental crown will often need to be replaced about every 10 to 15 years, on average. Impressions of your mouth will be taken and sent to a lab where they will make your new crown. After a week or so, the dental crown will be ready to be cemented or screwed into your implant. You will still want to brush regularly and floss daily to ensure healthy gums and surrounding natural teeth to prevent decay and gum disease from affecting your oral health and the health of your implant. You will also want to come in at least twice a year for regular dental cleanings and maintenance to ensure that your implant and restoration last as long as possible.
